Description Sculpted out of white polymer clay, then completely hand painted.

Painting took forever @_@ The eyes were complete hell, I had 3 of these guys to paint. I will be posting the other two eventually, but for now I give you this one

Time: 2 days if you count all the paint layers and drying time.

This is really good! You captured the playful pose well
And the paint job is definitely amazing! I would have thought it was just the clay colour if I didn't read the description
I've tried painting polymer clay and it's such a hassle that I gave up

Thank you! I was looking on the google search for Charmander, and thought a somewhat chibi style would be best. After I posted one of my WIP of him, I got a couple people saying I should make more to sell. So I made three. I plan to see how they sell at the convention this weekend.
The paint I used was an enamel acrylic. so I think that is why it went on so smooth. Even up close you would think it was colored clay. The paint for the eye's was a normal acrylic though, it seemed to dry before I even started painting. I used my fingers to smooth out clumps once and then painted it again to make it smoother looking. On this one, one white eye part sticks out a little farther then the other, but you can't tell unless you look close. lol

Thanks so much! It was a frustration, but after several attempts painting the eyes, I finally got them even and smooth.

Thanks! Yep, I often chose Charmander or Bulbasaur when I played the game on my gameboy. Always had the most luck with those two.
