*^_^* Thanks for catching that mega typo... XD This is what happens when you are blurry eyed from exhaustion after working out.

I shot exclusively with a Canon 30D DSLR with Canon 24-70mm 2.8L Luxury series lens. That is attached to a Stroboframe Flip bracket with a Canon 480 Speelite II EX flashgun mount off the camera on top of the flip bracket. Attached to the flashgun is the Lumiquest 80/20 bounce hood that helps me spread out light much better when the flash is used.

Wuth nice, well I don't have that much experience with cameras but I can tell by looking at the specs for each item that they're VERY high-end.
Think a Canon EOS450D with 18-55MM stock lens can do good ?
At least untill i get some more expertise, then I can go crazy on special hardware ofcourse :3

If it's the lens I think it is you will have a tough time indoors in a convention like setting getting the lighting right. The lens will do great outdoors. You will have to get creative indoors or crank your ISO up to get a balanced picture. I have the super 24-70mm 2.8L and I still prefer shooting cosplayers outdoors to inside. It's just easier. The camera body will do just fine for starting out. If you can afford to go the extra mile get a Rebel XTi as your starting body. It's a powerful starter dSLR camera.
