The third and (until now) last outfit of Yuuki during the Shaman Fight. Yuuki wears it right after her training in hell and being revived until her death.

Personality traits:
calm and determined - Yuuki is a calm, determined and serious person that normally can not be easily angered. In fact the only way to affect Yuuki is when someone insults Hao or misthreats her new-won friends [Ren, HoroHoro, Run, Faust and Pirica]. This is for example shown when she threats her former mentor Mikihisa Asakura when he attempts to fight and kill Hao.
Ignorance and being stubborn – Because of her trained skills and high Furyoku, Yuuki is confident in herself and her abilities, sometimes even overestimating herself and therefore rarely accepting advices / very often refusing help from others such as Mikihisa (she and Ren are similar in that behavior).
Despite her ignorance and sometimes harsh actions and behaviour towards the people she cares about, Yuuki is very loyal towards her new – won friends and Asakura Hao.
However, she tries to keep the reason for her loyality towards Hao a secret until the X-Laws find out and reveal her secret. It is then shown that Yuuki hates mankind for being responsible of the death of her mother in a car crash six years ago (Yuuki was eight).The fact that mankind sooner or later will kill the planet because of their carelessness increased her hatred for non-Shamans and led to her being even more focused on her goal of a shaman-only world.
Even though it doesn't always seem that way, Yuuki isn't blind for Hao's crimes, knowing very well that Hao is a murderer and has to be stopped. However, because of several reasons (what Hao did for her, her wish to see a Shaman-only world and her feelings for him) Yuuki can't get herself to kill him and openly states towards her former mentor that she won't allow anyone to kill Hao (while threatening Mikihisa and asking him if she should do him the favor and kill him instead of Hao so Mikihisa wouldn't strengthen Hao by being eaten by Spirit of Fire).

As it can be seen during a lot of conversations with Hao, Yuuki acts harsh when being embarrassed (or feeling so). That means that she will call the person „stupid“, „idiot“ or similar, as well as try to slap or kick the person who embarrassed her, no matter who it is.

Physical Description

Yuuki is a fourteen year old girl at the beginning of the Shaman Fight and is tall for her age. She has dark brown eyes and long, dark brown hair that almost reaches down to her hips. She usually wears her hair undone, but on some occasions she wears it in a high ponytail. Her first fighting outfit as well as her design when she first meets Yoh's friends consists of a red vest with grey ornaments, a black top that shows her belly, brown-beige hotpants with black ornaments and a red belt. Yuuki also wears black half-boots. Her Oracle bell is red and Yuuki wears hers on her right arm.

Her second outfit for the second round of the Shaman Fight consists of a black top, a long black scarf around her neck, black boots and blue jeans shorts without a belt. Her hair has grown longer, now almost reaching her butt.

Her third and final outfit for the Shaman Fight which Yuuki wears after being revived consists of a T-shirt showing her belly, with the right sleeve losely hanging down. Under the shirt, she wears a long black top and from her waist up a long beige skirt with a long slit for leg movement. Yuuki also wears black boots from her second outfit. Her hair has grown even longer and already reaches her butt.

Seven years later and still at the age of seventeen, Yuuki wears a short red Kimono with green leaves and very long sleeves she rolled up in ¾ style. Yuuki also wears black overknee socks and black half-boots with red features. Her hair seems to be shorter (barely chest-lenght) but because she wears it in a dutt-like hairstyle with just a few hair strands resting on her shoulders, it isn't that clear. However, since her pony seems shorter than it did in her lifetime it is very likely.

Backgroundstory:

Yuuki's family from her mother's side was an old but small Shaman family who vanished during the following four years, but since they expected the baby to be a boy (because the family needed an heir), Yuuki's parents gave her a unisex – name in order to keep the illussion for the deadly ill elders. However when Yuuki was five years old, her father left her mother because he was scared of her mothers abilities (he thought before that the parents of Yuuki's mother just were some weird traditionists).
Being on her own, Yuuki's mother had to move into the next city in order to earn enough money for her daughter and herself to live, leaving her daughter in kindergarten while being at work.

It was at this time that Yuuki showed the ability to see and speak with ghosts, making her preschool educators believe she was having conversations with imaginary friends. While the nursery nurses at first thought it was cute they became worried about Yuukis mental state, as she continued to talk to said „imaginary friends“ during the following year.
They talked several times with Yuuki's mother who of course knew with whom her daughter was talking to, so when Yuuki was leaving the kindergarten and went to primary school, they believed the problem to be solved.

The car crash and being found by Hao
At the age of eight, while her mother brought her to primary school, a man didn't pay attention where he drove with his car. He hit Yuuki and her mother, seriously wounding the young girl and her mother. Panicking because he drove the car drunk, the man ran away without calling the police or the ambulance. Because of this deprived assistance, every help came to late for Yuuki's mother and she died later in the hospital because of her injuries, leaving the young girl as an orphan and making this car crash the key event for her hatred towards humanity/ mankind.

Yuuki was brought into an orphanage after her wounds had healed where she very soon became a loner during half the year until she was found by Hao, because no one of the other kids understood her ability to see spirits. The other children avoided Yuuki, making her feel lonely and unknowingly creating Onis out of her supressed feelings.
Hao, who recognized the Onis Yuuki had created over time, explained to Yuuki that it was the fault of mankind that she was in this situation and that he could teach her how to become stronger and punish the man who left without helping her mother. Hao also explained Yuuki in a vision that this carelessness she had experienced would sooner or later also destroy the world because mankind wouldn't overthink their actions.

Yuuki, still at a very young age was impressed by Hao and soon agreed to leave the orphanage with him. Yuuki became his subordinate and while she was still too young to look for herself, Kanna Bismarch was put in charge of Yuuki. This way, Yuuki grew up alongside Matilda and Marion, who were around her age.
During the time Yuuki spent with Hao and his followers, she learned Hyoui Gattai and the Oversoul. When Hao had left their camp to search for other subordinates, Yuuki was also informed by Hang Zang-Ching and Peyote about Hao's ability to read minds. While listening to their explanation, Yuuki recognized that some of Hao's follower just were with him because they were afraid of him. She wanted to tell him this but Hao told her that he already knew that. He explained further that their fear for him couldn't be changed and that just time would show if those who feared him would stay loyal or had to be killed.
Not quite understanding what Hao meant, Yuuki asked him but Hao did not answered and instead asked her whether or not she was afraid of him too. Yuuki shook her head and tohis surprise, Hao saw that she truly did not fear him.

Hao came to the conclussion that it had been the right choice to take Yuuki with him and that with some training, Yuuki would be strong enough to be allowed to life in his Shaman-only society.

The dream of a Shaman society
After two years of learning Fumon Tonko Yuuki finally asked if she was allowed to enter the Shaman – only society Hao insisted to create after becoming the next Shaman King. Laughing about her thoughts, Hao answers that just strong Shamans were allowed to enter his Shaman society free of humans, hinting that Yuuki had to become much stronger than she was at that time.

After hearing this, Yuuki's dream of entering Hao's Shaman society was formed in her head, much to Haos amusement.

From this day on, Yuuki started training very hard and kept the words of Hao in her mind – That she had to be strong enough to be allowed to enter his Shaman society. This is also what motivated her to participate in the Shaman King tournament.

Dream
Despite her affiliation with Hao, Yuuki isn't willed to give up her own dream. Due to her past, Yuuki is heavily traumatized and despises non-Shamans to the point that she willingly supported Hao, despite knowing very well what kind of person Hao is. However, the time Yuuki spent with the Asakuras eased her grudge and even helped her tolerating non-Shamans, despite still feeling indifferent towards them.
This can also be seen in her dream, too. While Yuuki at first wanted to join Hao's Shaman only-society, her dream changed to hat of a world in which Shamans and non-Shamans are able to co-exist peacefully and where the nature is well respected. Yuuki still agrees with Hao that humankind does not value nature enough and with their wasteful and reckless behaviour are more and more destroying the planet. So, in order to protect the nature, Yuuki wants to create a world not just for Shamans and humankind but also for nature itself. which she hopes to achieve.

Trivia

Like she was taught by Hao, Yuuki steals most of the clothing she wears and either steals her food or hunts it down herself, as she was forbidden by Hao to use money to take care of herself. Because that, Yuuki does not know how to pay for the things she has to buy (for example food at a restaurant). Instead of trying to figure that out, she gives her team members money to pay for her stuff.
She used to despise humankind and everything they created. That is why, despite the fact that she tolerates regular humans and additional to what Hao had taught her in the past, Yuuki doesn't use modern technology and other things developed by non-shamans. However, the more time she spends with Yoh and the others, the more benevolent does Yuuki become to the technical discoveries of regular humans. But that doesn't mean that she willingly will use them. She hardly begins to admit that their discoveries are convenient and useful.
