Bio: ((Wiki bio start)) This one is another reason I made Reapertale based on Aphrodite instead of making him a crystal golem. Mettaton was originally a Spirit of Arts, but was given a physical form thanks to Alphys by creating a Crystal Golem for him to be able to use. As such, he was able to become a Bard and do what he wished. He is well known among the Underground and travels from place to place. When the Seventh Human fell, that Human was stopped by none other than Mettaton the Crystal Golem. After being used to kill a human, Mettaton decided to become a bard and travel to spread his talent in what he was good at and what he really wanted as well. ((Wiki bio end))
Head canon start: Crystal is gentle and a pacifist at heart. His pacifistic mindset stemmed from killing the seventh human to fall, and he's been staunchly against fighting ever since. This pacifistic mindset has caused him to travel the kingdom singing songs about peace and love. He also loves flowers and tends to try to help them grow whenever he sees them. But whenever provoked (when pressured into fighting or when Alphys/Blooky/Maddie are harmed), Crystal will immediately undergo a berserker rage and become merciless until he retakes control.

Because of his heavy body and inability to swim, Crystal developed aqua phobia and becomes agitated when surrounded by large bodies of water he cannot cross without drowning. The thought of the ocean terrifies him and he tries to stay as far away from Waterfall even though he used to live there as a ghost.
