I'm trying to get some serious Digital practice in. I used a ton of different tutorials for this... please see my favorites section and you can see all the different sources that I've used.

The shading is always giving me such a rough time... I can never decide how detailed I want to get. Oh well, just keep practicing. I had fun with the background and practicing that.

Deri is one of the characters of my Left Behind project. He's based off a real life dog that was a part of the expedition to Antarctica. He's a Sakhalin Husky. Mind you, there are little to no references out there for this breed of husky... so I based him more off of an Canadian Eskimo Dog because they seem to look similar... at least as far as I could tell.
