Yeah basically because he was trying to run away from his fear of not being able to be a true man who ahs strength

Which made him feel even worse and caused him to sought out his help by asking Oowada Mondo-kun to help him train because he saw him as someone really strong

But ultimately it ended up with him dying because of Oowada's rash jealousy in the moment
