Pouncer was one of the kittens from my cat Teazer's litter, the baby. And one of the sweetest, kindest tom cats I've known. He lived with my grandparents, but was run over by a car and killed this autumn.And since he was my grandmothers favourite, she really loved him, and it was her birthday I painted this portrait of him for her.

Used acrylics for the white parts and watercolor for the rest.

Poor cat...the story was really heart breaking.....I lost my pet cat too... she was killed by dogs....her neck bone snapped....*sniff *sniff

I know exactly how you feel, two years ago, my moms fav. kitten died the same way. he was a Tom-cat as well--black and white and the most energetic kitten I had ever seen....he never even made it to one year...we still miss him and I know that he is in a good place watching over us....and laughing at us when we do something stupid cause he's like that.
this is a very beautiful piece and your grandmother does diserve it. you did a wonderful job ^^
(P.s. your art got me re-hooked on CATS *is watching it now*....*sings along* If it happens the sun is shining bright! You would say we have nothing to do at all. =3)

*HUGGLE* The lil itty bitty tom that sat on my knee and didn't want to leave at all. I was soooooooooo close to adopting him on the spot..... It's amazing.
