I didn't even realise that I had this picture in my folder. I had nearly finished the lineart (or, sketching is more correct) and just left it. so i coloured it today.ink and watercolour on paper. NOT. thanks for introducing me to the watercolour tool thingy on Sai tho she never even uses sai until today. gee, i'm so ignorant of everything.
so yeah, first attempt of 'digital watercolouring' and... dunno, how does it look? it's great, it's not time consuming and i can make mistakes! (i mean, colour over the lines and things) <3

Open Canvas^^
Actually I like the watercolour tool from open canvas more than that one from SAI..XD
If you want I could give it to you, it's pretty small.. (a few MBs.). What is also very cool is that in an older version you could draw over internet with a friend which is a lot of funXD especially cause you actually can make nice lines compared to for example iscribble.. (have that version too in case you are interested). Another great OC thing are event files.. the drawing you draw in OC gets automatically recorded (as long as you save it as .oci). which means you can look at how it was drawn in the end~XD I draw a lot with it because of it's great key shortcuts handling.. (love key shortcuts). I use it often to draw.. my latest pic is done completely in OC.. and I think all my scribble colo stuff is done in OC because I can colour quickest with it...
I think SAI produces the nicest lineart ever found in drawing programmes though xD what kind of version do you have? trial or full? or the inofficial english one?

yeah, Sai is the best for lineart, it's almost like pencil! i use... dunno, portable sai i think. not sure what version it is. it's english i think but... when it opens there's chinese in the title. not sure, my friend gave me the link to download it.

actually i tried (traditional) watercolour for the first time in years last week. i screwed up my drawing XD but my art teacher won't let me use digital media :<
i've never tried mixed media, i even don't know to do it XD i know how to add a new layer and how to lock it, but that's it :3

we never do digital media projects. plus my art teachers don't like it when you draw manga or something. they kinda prefer 'realistic' art.
