Created on Altera by Aero and Luminescence through a complex scientific process that did not require the use of a femme's spark chamber. Her spark was created by taking small pieces from Aero's and Luminescence's own sparks and combining them, then placing the newly created spark within an incubation chamber. The incubation chamber supported the spark until it could strengthen enough for placement into a shell, developed through a combination of Cybertronian and Alterian technology (necessary due to the loss of 98 sparks prior to Fusion's creation).
After being placed in her shell, it was touch and go for Fusion. Her systems would crash without warning and she often ended up in Aero's form of intensive care, her life processes being supported by machinery while he repaired the problems. This continued to occur until Fusion was the equivalent of a toddler.
As her health improved, it became apparent that Fusion was not one to sit still. She managed to run her mother ragged while Aero was in his lab during the long Alterian days. Often, Lumia would find it necessary to 'lock' Fusion in her room to get things done (she put a gate across the doorway so she could hear her if she needed her, but it allowed her to get things done). When Fusion discovered that she could use her thrusters... this tactic no longer worked.
Aero:
Strength: Excellent
Relationship: Mech creator (father)
Aero is the center of her world when she is a sparkling and into her younglinghood. It was not until she was the equivalent of a 15 year old that their relationship began to strain. Even with the slight falling out that they have in her 'teenage' years, Fusion adores her grumpy father and is often by his side later on. He is her support and she knows he'd never leave her, not for any reason.
Luminescence:
Strength: Poor
Relationship: Femme creator (mother)
Lumia was a good mother when Fusion was a small sparkling. She doted on her and taught her many things, often allowing her to work by her side while she was working on some project or other. Unfortunately, the splitting of her spark had taken its toll and she was slowly slipping into madness. When the final break came, Lumia tried to deactivate Fusion after deactivating Aero's sister, Solstice. Lumia was deactivated by a Decepticon assassin sent to hunt down a deserter. (Fusion has no memory of her mother attacking her, as Aero dumped those memories from her processor shortly after it occurred)
Araman:
Strength: Good
Relationship: Godfather/uncle
Araman spends a lot of time with Fusion inside and outside of the ship that serves as his armor. He protects her when needed and scolds her far more often than Aero normally does. She loves him, but pulls away from his, sometimes overbearing, protectiveness.
*Spoiler* Azul:
Strength: Good
Relationship: Step-mother
Azul comes into Fusion's life in an... unexpected way. She is a professional escort on Omega-1 who ends up sparking (getting pregnant) with one of her clients. The agency she works for has a strict policy on these things -- the spark would have to go. However, she managed to hide it and, with Aero and Fusion's assistance, get the spark placed in its own shell (Electra). Fusion was unaware of her father's relationship with Azul at this time and does not realize he is bonded again until after she is rescued from the prison. It is not long afterwards that the two get into a massive fight over Fusion's treatment of Aero (even Aero is terrified to get between the two of them). In the end, it works out.
Electra:
Strength: Good
Relationship: Step-sister
Electra is a sparkling with a curiosity that can match Fusions. However, she is not nearly as adventurous and refuses to leave her boundaries set by her parents. Fusion thinks Electra is cute and is perfectly happy with having a little sister, even if she and her step-mother don't always see optic-to-optic when it comes to what Electra can and can't do.
Wattage:
Strength: Good
Relationship: Friend/unofficial aunt
Fusion spent a great deal of time with Wattage prior to her departure to join the Autobots' ranks. The small femme, actually a Saltarian medical droid, treated Fusion with a great deal of love and kindness but was no stranger to disciplining her when need-be. The two have a close, almost mother-daughter relationship by the time Fusion is old enough to make her own decisions.
Kilowatt:
Strength: Good
Relationship: Friend/unofficial uncle
Kilowatt is the one who taught Fusion how to enter a computer system, leaving her body behind (without Aero's permission, of course). He is a very serious little mech, though he was simply an engineering droid on Saltara, he is very intelligent and does not take himself very lightly. He also served as Fusion's tutor when she was younger, whenever Aero was too busy to attend to her studies.
*Spoiler*Bandit: (owner Tree-Of-Time )
Strength: Excellent
Relationship: Cousin
She and Bandit meet on a gladiatorial asteroid (where Fusion crash landed during her very first scouting mission for the Autobots) when Fusion is the equivalent of 15 years old (Aero fudged her aging program to make her read as an adult). Over the course of time, the two become closer and, when they find out that Bandit is, in fact, Aero's lost niece (whom he was searching for prior to the outbreak of the war on Cybertron), they become closer. Fusion trusts Bandit with her life and even names her Godmother of her sparklings.

The Well was ejected before he corrupted the core.
But, yeah, Aero literally made a new spark for her -- he came pretty close to offlining a few times in his experiments and it drove Lumia to insanity :I So it certainly wasn't a walk in the park XD The spark was tiny, no bigger than human heart (which is why her protoform is so tiny; along with a lack of materials). It would take tweezers basically to pull off what he used from each of their sparks.

Before they went to Earth XD Prime doesn't follow the games closely, apparently. In the end, OP gives up his life to protect the Well from being destroyed by Unicron. The Well ends up back in the core and Cybertron begins to rebuild.
LMAO -- pretty much (though, he's always been a bit of a grouch). Fusion doesn't really get 'picked' on, but she's been teased about it before and she does have issues with it. Especially if she's treated like a kid.

before they went to earth? yeah that's what im talking about,in war for cybertron megatron corrupted the core which out right ends the war because the planet shuts down and stop producing energon and forces the two factions to leave for earth. though while a good deal of it is megatron's fault,the planet was already shutting down before he got his hands on dark energon x3 the ark was built in the well of all sparks and it basically was launched into spaced when the autobots left. oh and you can technically thank shockwave for that,since he outright invented the space bridge and discovered it...XD wait optimus died..again? xD

Dark energon didn't show up in Prime till second season XD Megs infects himself with it so he can control anyone else that has it in their systems as well (I think, it's been awhile since I watched the series). Yep, very last movie/episode thing -- OP sacrifices himself to save the planet. -- takes the Well into his own spark so they can capture Unicron's energy inside of the vessel that was holding the Well together.
