Description This is Poison Hemlock. The photo is titled "Socrates" because it was an infusion of this plant that was used to poison Socrates.

Anyway, the native European plant is now found throughout much of North America as an invasive species, and also right in my backyard.

I guessed it was hemlock just from the name. Nice, be careful, that stuff is super toxic.

I love the contrast and the focus - the bokeh in the background looks great, and the white of the flower really pops.
So this plant is poisonous..? :S
I do know who Socrates is, though! Art history, ftw!
