Well...first and foremost I think the style in this is great! I honestly like the fact that you put nice detail to the face to draw the viewer eyes and leave the rest in a cool sketchy style. It's different and pretty original from what I've seen so thats a huge plus! Now the main problem with this is the legs which many pointed out already, they are too long. Try to find some reference for proportions. Heck...maybe find somebody to put on a cape and try to take a photo like that in that stance in the piece just to get more of a idea. Hope that helps.

thanks alot for your compliment
yeah, the hard thing about drawing from Chinese opera is that
you its hard to see the anatomy inside the clothings since it's so loose
I'll try harder next time to make the proportion and pose right
thanks again for your helpful suggestion friend

For some reason I love the nose. Its so cute. I also love how you made the face realistic, but the rest of the picture is in that sort of chinese simple inking style. Its a really nice blend of the style that I origionally started watching you for, and this new realism you've been playing with.

I guess if you're looking for a crit, the legs are a bit too flat. Particularly the one closest to us. It doesn't really stand out from the behind leg at all.

thanks so much!
I'm so impressed that you remember my old style ^_T,
thanks for your support for such long time

I'm still thinking about how to blend those 2 styles together more naturally,
but I'm very glad that you like the result so far

yeah and I agree that the leg is just to stiff and wrong ^^"

thanks again for helping and supporting my old old friend

This is outstanding...I think the problem is the style to the face in such clarity to the style of the body which is more free form....The body is almost like water colour where the face looks air-brushed...the feet are a little out of proportion to the head and body...more so the right one....The thing is this is such an outsanding job....that even the unwanted contrast seems very slight compared to the whole art work....Great Job!

thanks alot for the compliments and suggestions

one thing I've been thinking about is that
"does it make the picture more interesting to have sharp face in contrast to the parts that are freeform,
or does that makes it looking weird for the viewer's eye?"

I kind of like the contrast myself, but I also agree that they look kind of unmatching together...
hope I'll think of a better way of blending the "detailed realism" with "fluid impressionism"

thanks again for pointing the flaws out, and glad you like it my old friend

I personall think it's great...to me( and not my field of knowledge, as far as art form is concerned) I think a subtle graduation from one form to the other would create an illusion of " What's going on here? What makes this art so cool?"
Likewise...I think your on your way to a very pronouced and unique signature that will certainly separate you from other artist doing the same...SO BRAVO!!!!!!

One other thing that may work or may create a different type of emotion ( sorry...just the way my mind works at times...a bit confusing..LOL)
is to take the feet and do them with the sharp exactness...( same as the head) then gradiant type blend it to the bodies center point, slowing going into a water colour effect from each end of the body to the center...then some where near the center...get a little sloppy ( maybe 7-12% of total body at center point) as if you just went a little off with the water colours, but still keeping it uniform as not to distract from the whole...........there-by making the center of the body look ever so slightly broken apart by the water colours...Not that this would be a great signature, but rather a variation on a great signature...and create almost a variation much like that of Disney type film art..where they actually animate the scene into full bloom right in from of your eyes. I hope you catch me on this...LOL...seems a bit hard to explain : )

I think you've just made an important suggestion here which I feel the urge to try it out right now,
I'll try to make a more subtle graduation from one form to the other and see how it goes
thanks again for giving me such cool suggestion!

i like the abstract lines of this new piece! that looks like something from ur graduation stuff.

something wrong -> again its the angle of facial parts, check position and angle of ear, hat is tilted too.
hope it helps

Beautiful coloring, soft nice colors that fit the picture perfectly. I also love the ink splatters (I have a think for ink splats ) The flaw of which you speak is definatly not above the waist Perfect poise of both arms but the legs seem stiff and rigid in comparison to the rest of his body. You could probably just change the foot perpective to be less 2D and face more towards us. Try doing the pose in a mirror and see how your body thinks it should move. Or change the pose completely...

Beautifully done I love the character and theme of it

thanks alot for encouraging
yeah I have a thing for inklines and ink splatters too, thats why I wanted to explore this style

yeah it's true, the leg is too stiff and 2D... ^^:
next time I should think more about the fluity of the pose before starting to paint it
thanks again so much for your help! also nice to meet you friend! be sure to come back soon for more new works

this really is an awesome picture, all told...in looking through it to see if i can identify that elusive flaw you speak of, all i can think of is that the legs (not including the shoes) are a little too long for his body..but i could be wrong, and that's all i see
