From looking at this drawing, you should quickly tell what this is all about. Earlier today, on 10/11/23, I got word that one of my Mom's dogs, an English Labrador Retriever named Colby who we rescued in 2016, had to be put down. This news hit me hard emotionally, and throughout the day, I've been feeling emotionally drained, yet at the same time, part of me felt that this was coming at some point soon since he was getting old, having mobility issues with his back legs, and a few other health problems. Still, this was really hard to swallow at first...but I slowly but surely started feeling better as the day went on, with some nice talks with my Dad and sister about the ordeal, and while they were sad about it too, they were reassuring in that Colby wouldn't be suffering anymore, and we gave him the best life possible. I found myself agreeing wholeheartedly, which also helped out a lot. This, along with watching a feel-good movie (in my case, "The Lion King"), helped make the process of getting through the day a little easier. At least now, he's gone over the rainbow bridge to meet up with my family's other dogs who've already made the journey.

Goodbye, Colby. Thank you for being such a good boy. I love you...and I'll miss you.
