Even separated from the group, Tiger had been certain he could fight off Captain Ebony and his platoon of tree-impersonating Mocks. Instead, however, the monsters had outsmarted him, tricking him into leaping right into their grasp! Not knowing how the others had fared, the plantlike creatures had wrapped him thoroughly in supple branches, one of the biggest and meanest Mocks tasked to keep him from escaping. Struggling in the wooden grasp, Tiger fought to so much as twist his body, growling fiercely through the wooden bit and the roots holding his muzzle shut. This did naught but amuse the guards, and the black-barked Ebony had taken the time to gloat over his captive. His master, Grey Wolf, Tiger's brother and now minion to the dark powers, would reward him handsomely for turning over the blue-furred fighter ...
