Art Dedication for 15 years run of popular manga/anime - Naruto
After 2 years of hiatus I finally uploaded a new art lol. Anyways, this is a dedication to Masashi Kishimoto for creating Naruto and spending 15 years of his life making this manga. Such an accomplishment!

I'm still not used to some changes in submissions and journal haha.

I found your journal (it never updated for me??) and it's neat to see you're trying your hand at digital *v*
And yeh, there have been quite a few changes on dA, haha. They've got a lot of stuff centered around "sta.sh" now, but it's pretty easy to get the hang of once you're used to it.

Very true xD While it can't quite copy the traditional texture, you can still add textures to make it look a little more like traditional art too *v*
It's basically like "storage" except you can see what you've stored and let others see it by linking them to it xD A lot of people who do commissions use it to upload WIPs to show the people they're drawing for, and to get the "go ahead" for posting the art o:

Ooh! so that's what sta.sh is about. That is a good tool for commissions, let the requestor see your work first and get the feel of it. Also, I saw DA closed down their gear store

It's all in the brush settings, really xD Some art programs (like Paint Tool SAI, which I use) have a "canvas" texture option that you can apply to the pen brush/tool or marker brush/tool to make it look like you're drawing on a canvas. There's also a watercolor brush/tool *o* I haven't really explored it much though (I'm still in the animu area of coloring style, haha - not aiming much for traditional looks at this point).
Yep! And yeh, I think they closed it a while ago actually //mings. They probably still sell merchandise in some form, but I dunno where, haha.
