Background: Apple Butter is the only child of Babs Seed and Snips. Apple's parents met when Snips got an apprenticeship under the same pony who was teaching Babs. The two had been paired up for a mane-styling project and since then had become inseparable. Eventually once they reached high-school they began dating, and after graduation the two quickly married. What they weren't expecting however was a child, as Babs dealt with endometriosis which made her being able to have a child extremely hard, but after a year into her marriage she found out she was expecting. Both her and Snips were overjoyed, and welcomed Apple Butter into the world eagerly. They spoiled the foal as much as they could, but also made sure that she wouldn't become entitled. Soon enough Apple Butter grew up to be a very exuberant, hard-working pony. She'd often try to work in mane-styling like her parents, but she wasn't very good at it. It wasn't until she went to visit her family at Sweet Apple Acres to help with the zap apple harvest did she find out what she was good at, thus earning her cutie mark for making apple butter. The ponies of Ponyville absolutely loved her butter, so much so that she begged her mother and father to move to Ponyville so she could be near the farm. Her parents agreed and moved to a small farmhouse on the edge of the Apple property, opening up their own mane salon while allowing Apple Butter to work on the farm with her relatives.
