beautiful picture
finally no blonde girl - thank you very much
one of these girls who grew up with blonde dolls who give the picture "how a girl/woman" should be to be beautiful", and with fairytales that show blonde good girls and darkhaired bad girls...
it is like telling a child the apple was the cursed fruit in the paradise (now science says that every artist and storyteller gave his/her own imagination, and what was known, a mediaeval european did not know anything about fruits in Arabia, or somewhere else), and the child, who already ate apples before, thought all apples are like poison

Now that you got me thinking about it, why isn't Cinderella (in general, not just Disney's version) given more pumpkin imagery (like clothing and jewelry and such)? Why is the pumpkin theme always limited to her carriage (and how come it's the only enchanted thing to bear resemblance to its original form? None of the horses resemble rats nor the coachmen lizards)?
Oh, random thought-spark of inspiration! If the fairy godmother merely altered nearby objects and elements to provide transportation for Cinderella, isn't possible that Cinderella's ball gown was made of transformed spider webs (they're iridescent and sparkle when covered in dew) and her jewelry the transformed exoskeletons of beetles (some species really look like walking gems)?!
I might just draw that........If I ever get the time to do so and have finished the million-or-so half-finished drawings I currently have.
