Did u read strobe edge? To me strobe edge is so much less frustrating than ao haru ride. But i just love the art in both!

Yeah I read that one, really liked it. Though I feel that Kou and Futaba are richer in terms of characterization. I think Ao Haru Ride is about to end soon, so the frustration with Kou, Futaba etc won't last long. ^_^ Indeed, Sakisaka san's art is awesome.

Yayyyy! I agree too. I mean Ren totally went from being shy to cornering Nanako in the classroom. I was like woah, character jump. He serious all of a sudden. And then it came to an end just when things were getting good. I think I just love Ren... Kou is too fussy for me.

Haha Kou gets his fussiness from all that crap he's been through: parents' divorce, mom's death, Narumi etc. You really see where and when he got lost, who helped him pick up the pieces and why he did what he did. I agree about Ren. I like him but that's about it. I admired Ninako's honesty and sincerity but she lacks the growth arc that Futaba has. I think what I really like about Sakisaka san's stories is the realism, it's not all about fluff and fanservice and the way she puts across the characters' thoughts and feelings are something I can connect to. I've read my fair share of shoujo and it's not often you come across sakisaka san's quality of story-telling. Simple, honest and heart touching.
