great shot. The lighting is perfect. I like how you included the old farm equipment into the shot. It really gives you an idea of how old the building is, along with the obviously old naked trees.

Hi. I always like to see the color versions. I prefer the old run down Buildings in black and white. It seems to go with the aged look and feel of the old broken down buildings. Your B/W version is nice, I personally would have used a different tone of B/W. Don't get me wrong I do like it. Great shot. At first I thought I was the only one that shot old run down house's and barns then I met this guy (notforthisworld) and now you. I am Happy...

Thanks. I think the color version of this worked best. That was the general consensus of the people. I've taken pictures of lots of old, run-down buildings, but I only post the ones that are the most interesting. Glad to hear you are happy now....
BTW, the b&w version is really sepia. From the comments I have received, it would better for me to use the sepia setting on my computer rather than the one on my camera (the camera setting seems to end up being too bright).

Your welcome. Not sure what editor you use, but I have found adjusting the hue, saturations and such you can get a great black and white photo. If done right it will look alot better then the sepia... I will be posting alot more old barns as soon as I get them together.. Have a great day

I use Microsoft Digital Suite 2006 because I don't want to take the time to learn Photoshop.
Some things are best in sepia, some best in b&w, and a LOT of things best in color. Just depends on the shot.

I like the color version better .. the sepia is maybe a little too light .. maybe darken it with a bit of contrast ... good job here!
