I would nearly call it a sacred piece of art, dont know why..

its surrounded by a very subtile harmony, full of peace...

I associate the planetal intellignece saturn with black, the concept of matter and time....and of course the concept of death...the gate keeper.

most people thought that saturn is satan, and that deatch, matter and time are the evil "black" force, but this is just a missunderstanding....in moderna nd ancient hermeticism saturn is the teacher of concentration, meditation etc..

and you use black, specially in this piece as the result of saturnic teachings, a very subtile silence....and the saturnic speech is silence..

with love and respect matthias saittham--shaitan (satan//saturn), you see that I have a strong connection to saturn, I once thought about joining the fraternitas saturni an old hermetic lodge in germany//austria//swizz.....but I didnt do so..

Very interesting, I much appreciate this comment. I recently did some reading on Saturn and there are many contadictions/paradoxes within the idea and the symbol of it. It is fascinating to me, but the alchemic sign for Saturn is identical to the botanical sign for Tree. Perhaps this also represents the paradox of matter, showing an outward form, leaves, but also concealing another form of energy (roots, spirits). It is wonderful, but I am feeling that supernatural and natural are the same thing, just a continuum. It is all real, and imagination is the guide through it all. Fusing the senses together into one sense, and using that sense to go beyond them all...

And what about the Dark Matter? The symbology of Saturn seems like it could encompass this scientific idea as well...

As far as the interest in, attraction with the color black, it is completely woven into the beauty of the negative space, the white on the paper. I thrive on the shapes and the beatiful potential of this space...

the idea with the dark matter is good..yes and black is just a wonderfull "color", goes well with everyting...

and its always a mirror to the "infinit" space of our universe..also a strong metaphor for the unknown

just a very magical "color"..and you learned to use it as it should be used...

I love the linework and contrast. Nice style and fine balance. Interesting imagery. The swastikas are well arranged in the composition. Great sense of mood.

I really like the 'detailed' work inside the right hand of the circle. However, even on FV it's difficult to determine whether there are actually figures there or whether it is merely pattern. Either way, the different shades and textures are pleasing to the eye.

Downloaded the detailed view...think it could be called both figure and pattern, a tapestry of the chaos of life. Thanks for the comment!
