Again a last minute entry forXD I know I know, I'm horrible... but I was ill all week... so...
I didn't think I would participate, but in the end, I quickly worked something out. I love salt, I need to use it more XD

howd you color this. i want to bring some color into my works just not sure how to go about it.

how did I color this... that's a though question, wow XD
Well, first you have to pick your available media. I used acrylic inks, ecolines (liquid watercolors) and normal acrylics. Get yourself some water, to make it all somewhat watery, and you can begin. It all starts with practicing, and just finding yourself a way through what will eventually work for you. If you'd like to start with pencils, but you are in want of a watercolory look, then you can go for watercolorpencils. Colors like pencils, but when you add some water, it will have the watercolor effect.
For the effect in the leftbottom, I added some seasalt, atop of the wet places. Salt drains water ;3

If you want to see step-by-step tutorials on coloring, DA is overloaded with those, for all kinds of media :3 try to search for those, they may help you out somewhat more ;3
and always make sure your paper is thick enough to hold all the water you throw on it
