It’s been a while since I drew them, I stop doing so after a heated argument with a friend back in the day, regarding if they were “blood” siblings or not and if shipping them was Ok. I’m a non-siblings supporter because Wizeman is label as their god. Disney’s Hercules is my reference, is Zeus Pegasus’ father (aka Hercules’ sibling) because Zeus created him out of clouds? My friend wasn’t precisely good at debating so, she would just start shouting at me to be into incest. She used to cause me a lot of trouble thanks that, her outrage would drag other people just hearing without context that I was into incest…. Such awkward days.

Thank you, someone who understands that just because someone or something is created by a god, doesn't mean they're related by blood. Gods create entire worlds and civilizations but that doesn't mean EVERYONE is related in such a way. If it were the case that everything a god creates is related, then the point would be moot because EVERYONE IS RELATED and therefore there is literally no other way for relationships to occur, therefore making the point null.
But hey, people would rather shout "incest" and ignore the fact that the idea does not equate to the other, right?
As for the picture itself, it's really nice! NiGHTS and Reala have a very calm and yet endearing expression on their faces toward each other. Very well done and I'm sorry your friend was such a rude person to imply such a horrible thing about you.

And in JoD, Reala calling NiGHTS his "sibling" has an interesting duality to it. In Japanese, the subtitles say "Kyoudai" which can mean the highest ranking brother-LIKE relationship in the Yakuza, or brother-like friend (many use it for their best friends) and such. It can also refer to who members of a same species can refer to each other as such, like how unrelated humans will sometimes call each other their brother or sister because we're all human and they feel some kind of bond.
It's also funny because the same people who cry incest will sometimes ship other Nightmaren together and... you can't have it both ways. Either they're all related (because Wizeman made them all and that's the main argument) and it doesn't matter, or none of them are and it doesn't matter. It's kind of funny when you really think about it.
And hey, you're welcome! It can be hard to enjoy yourself when people want to tarnish your reputation over ignorance or intentional misunderstanding. I know I have to block a few bad eggs when I decide to draw some cute jester interaction that leans more romantically. Don't let them bring you down.
Ahh, I know that feeling all too well. I've rolled over too many times with people who I shouldn't have, but we all learn from our mistakes, yeah? Plus you got stories to tell on your channel. At least some good came from it.

I say it's mostly just pretty cliquey for the most part. It's small but has its own groups. I tend to stay out of it and just post whatever I want and block whoever is annoying me or causing me grief. I just honestly find the petty disagreements tiring. NiGHTS is NiGHTS. People have differing ideas on how the world of NiGHTS works. Some people don't want to accept that and surround themselves with like-minded people, that's fine. But harassing people who think differently is pointless.
I personally get more flack for not seeing NiGHTS as a girl, or people assuming I think he's a guy because I use masculine-neutral pronouns (as in the games.) I let people see what they want in my art, but I enjoy my own views too. People should respect that much.
