So I favourited this earlier and didn't have the time to comment. But a comment this deserves and a comment it shall have ^^!

The reason I faved this is pretty much that is has so much everything I like. I love violin music, birds, trees without leafs, and this kind of innovative pieces that combine beauty with horror and eerie feeling. Like old movies without voice, I can imagine how the birds on the back start to flutter their wings and the girls hands start to play the violin.
Only thing that grasped my attention in a negative way is the grass on the ground. It doesn't really fit with the perspective; it seems to be a bit too long farther away. But that really does nothing since this looks absurd other ways too. Good ways. The burned effect fits in great with the colours, and the sepia-shade looks way better than it would if it was just plain black&white. The scene and manipulation all in all is ingenious.

Are the birds swans? When I first looked at them quickly, I assumed they were crows or such because they were black, but their necks are too long

This is such a beautiful and haunting work...i really like it conceptually, and the technique is very well done, especially the monochrome look, composition, and textures. It is my personal favorite out of all the entries. Great job!
