I'm a female, and I love yaoi.
But I'm not insane to the point where I think that every single pairing I'm into is canon and everyone who thinks differently than me is retarded. If someone doesn't like yaoi pairings I do, or if someone just doesn't like yaoi at all, I'm fine with that. They're all opinions, and nothing is canon unless the creator says it is or makes it canon.

well, technically, yaoi fans generally ARE fangirls! in, i'd say 98% of the cases from what I have observed so far.
don't see anything bad in it.
they have a right to obsess over whatever they wish, after all there are so many non-yaoi "fangirls" who are, frankly, way way worse.

I like yaoi, but that doens't make me going all freaky about it when someone doesn't...And I don't pair EVERY male character up with another, I have my favourites xD

Yaoi: perfectly okay.

Fan-Yaoi: Okay when done between two gay/sexually ambiguous characters.

Fangirl Yaoi: Usually contains at least one strait character, which begs the question as to why he's suddenly gay.
