just trying out something different....still as part of my on-going learning to draw digitally scheme.
Just came up with a name inspired by one of my favourite quotes by Pablo Neruda.
"In the center of the earth I will push aside
the emeralds so that I can see you---
you like an amanuensis, with a pen
of water, copying the green sprigs of plants."

Gorgeous. I love the colors and the expression.
I feel like my eye is drawn to the middle of the piece (her exposed abdomen, etc) and just stops there. Feels a bit unbalanced. Would love perhaps some other light pieces that move the eye around.

I'm so happy you like the colours and expression since those were definitely at the top of my difficulties list concerning this pic. This is a very different colour scheme then what I usually work with and faces are always a challenge lol.
And yep I agree with you about the abdomen, you are most definitely right...I kept trying to find the right composition and added the exposed abdomen at a pretty late stage and couldn't be bother to try scramble things around some more to find a more better composition for it. Thank you for the constructive criticism though.

When I was referring to lighter pieces, I'm looking at this great rhythm with pattern in the background with the way the lightened 'streaks' are, I'd love to see it show up in other portions of the dark as well, in some way. I think it would add even more interest.

I am glad you think the colour harmony worked out .... this piece was rather difficult since I intentionally wanted to try out a very different colour scheme from what I usually use.

the flame looks like her aura or some form of energy. i haven't any thoughts on a title yet. maybe something ambiguous.
