Description
Another monochromatic watercolor. This one is a most recent of portraits i have done of myself. Was a lot of work heheh. I am still quite new to the watercolor paint. Can be so hard to work with for me. Then i usually get worried not one person would care much for them cause i only do them in one color or black and white. -_-I did this one last year. I won so far one ribbon on it! So i guess i should give myself i little more credit. Was a big art show kind of. Got honerable mention.

Watercolor paper
Red student grade watercolor paint(cotman)

I really like pieces done monochromatic; it can give such a nice feel to it. You do it very well.
The background is great as well. The little fairies playing music and dancing around her are a neat touch.

This is really wonderful considering you're still relatively new to the medium. I like that it's only one color. Sometimes a single color can convey a mood a lot better than muliple colors, but don't be afraid to experiment! I tried to do a watercolor like that once, but mine didn't turn out nearly as good as yours. Keep it up! You work with watercolor very well.
