because I've realized I haven't drawn yet Lucas's friends, well... here two of them!

Duncan and Aubrey have always been Lucas’s gauge for happy relationships: after seven years together they still get lost in each other’s eyes, and hold hands, and giggle at the sight of the other, like high schoolers… a thing Daniel doesn’t fail to always point out with some annoyed grunts, but he’s never been a supporter of public displays of affection.

when they met each other they were both so wrecked to look beyond repair: Duncan was an alcoholic hothead just out from his second visit to Her Majesty’s Prisons, Aubrey a former eroine addicted and suicidal twenty years old with no real home. they met because the pub that took Aubrey to wash dishes was just next Duncan’s tattoo parlour, they began talking because they were walking the same way to the bus stop, and then they slowly patched each other up. without realizing it at the beginning, probably.

within a year they were living together and Duncan had persuaded Aubrey to pick up his studies again: before he ran from home he was going to become a civil engineer, he was a bright kid, it would have been a waste to just give it up.

three years later Aubrey was working for an important studio in the City, they bought a nice place to move into, and Duncan proposed.

and now here they were.

Lucas remembers their wedding, he never saw someone happier in his whole life. he often envies how they are around each other… but well, he knew what he was getting into when he began dating Daniel. or the “bloody damned hell-houd” as Duncan calls him. which is quite true.
