Hey all! Welcome to my first true attempt at cell shading! XD

This is a picture of one of my OCs for a potential webcomic that I'm starting to work on. This is a character design that goes back a long time for me. In fact, this pic/pose is a re-draw of the VERY first time I drew this character back in 2007.

I'm extremely happy with this for a few reasons. Firstly, the pencil drawing took me less than 45 min, and used no pose or foreshortening references at all. I usually use refs for foreshortening poses so I'm super excited about this!

Second, I decided to try a cleaner, simpler colouring style than the weird 'paint-ish' mess I've been doing. I actually did follow a tutorial for this and I'm very glad I did. I'm an eternal n00b and I learned some things in PS, even though I've been messing around in PS 7.0 for nearly a decade.

I highly recommend 's tutorials, and for the interested, his web-manga are equally amazing!

I'm going to be playing with this new colouring style, so expect more works that are coloured a something like this!
