I cannot express how much I love you right now. Best DW pairing, and you always do the most amazing art for them. And I thought you stopped drawing them for good. And...and.... *continues flailing*

I don't think I ever really stop drawing something 'for good,' things just interest me in really violent waves and so I devote myself really heavily to one fannish thing once I'm there. If I try to spread myself too thin as far as investment in a fandom thing goes, I don't end up making very good work of anything. So it's to the betterment of everyone that I don't try to keep up with EVERYTHING I've ever drawn. everyone would get lackluster images and no one would be happy. Which isn't to say I don't still love it all, because I still definitely think Turlough is delight in school uniform, I just only have so much energy, haha. That said, I'm glad you're happy to see them again! It was sort of weirdly nostalgic to paint them for me, so everyone wins~!

Five and Turlough was the first art of yours I ever saw, and I knew immediately I had to like you because so few people shipped them.
Also, the whacky socks with the suit always just killed me. It's like "Okay, I'm going to wear this uniform, but that doesn't mean you've broken my spirit!"

I find Five/Turlough people to be a bit rare! Though I noticed a lot of them crossed over into Two/Jamie as well. We have to stick together, it seems!
I fucking love his wacky socks. It's like this really subtle indication - when you see them - that there is more than just guy in a uniform to Turlough, and I think it was a really fascinating costume choice.

Turlough's socks were what just sold me on him completely. I mean, yes, snarky bastard is delightful all on his own, but one that wears wacky socks under his uniform? Be still my heart. He and Five were my first foray into doing Doctor Who fanart FOR REAL, so they are a particular favorite~
I also fucking love wacky socks myself, and then Turlough was doing artist things and I was very firmly in love.

Oh yes, I do have a soft spot for wacky socks too. *glances down* Right now my left foot's wearing zebra print, and my right's wearing one from topshop covered in little brollies and telephone boxes. Besides, I think it's a nice little visual indicator that there's more to Turlough than just a stroppy ginger schoolboy.
(There aren't enough of us fanarting Five and Turlough, so I'm always excited to see new pretties.)

I also think it's a neat hint that there's something different to Turlough than just someone in a uniform. It would be interesting to see how he dressed when he wasn't mandated to wear something. Though I guess it's just as interesting that he kept the uniform when he clearly hated the place it came from!

Yeah, we don't see much of Turlough out of the uniform except for Planet Of Five (so we know he apparently likes fancy short shorts), and there was that time Five thought he looked splendid in Phantasmagoria, and I think there's an audio where he wears a hat? But I somehow can't see him wearing the same sort of bland space-grey getup the other Trion dudes were wearing at the end of Planet Of Shorts. I sort of headcanon that he has a bunch of nice bespoke Earth-style skinny suits made when he goes back to his home planet, complete with interesting sock choices. I think I drew him a while back in a more contemporary take on the suit, though he kept the orange suede shoes. XD

No worries, I love Star Trek, so that was a bonus. Your artwork is just wonderful, no matter what it is you're drawing or coloring or creating. I enjoy the colors mightily!
(Also, you helped me to like Five, I didn't for a while because I was a Four fan, and now I see the adorablness that is Five).

Oh, I'm so happy to read that! I always worry I'm going to really alienate people when I suddenly must do like 20 images of the same subject matter, especially when they came here for something that is ... not that. So that someone sticks around just because they like what I make regardless of the subject just makes my heart kind of explode a little. Thank you for saying so!
(Five is as much an adjustment after Four as Six is after Five, so I can totally sympathize. But I am glad I had a hand in helping you appreciate the Beige Princess.)

Yeah, I don't usually follow artists for what they draw, but how they draw it. Or I'm actually friends with them. I just like looking at art, I appreciate it. Especially if it's a type of artwork that I'm terribly at (a.e. Ceramics, watercolors, anything that's not a human...)
Draw whatever you want, because if you draw for yourself (or channeling a loved one) it's usually more packed with emotion and feeling, which is what I really stick around for.
