I was reading an old comic the other day, and on the back cover was an advertisement for Masters of the Universe: The Power of He-Man(a video game for the Intellivision and Atari 2600). It was actually a pretty good rendering of He-Man and his arch-enemy, battling valiantly in front of ol' Greyskull, and it made me realize that I haven't drawn a He-Man character since I was a little kid. So, I did something about it.Here sits Skeletor, weary atop his throne at Snake Mountain. Near as I can tell, he's just noticed Evil-Lyn has decided to snap a photo. I'm not sure whether I think Skeletor's the kind of guy who gets grumpy when people take photos, or whether he's a total camera whore. I mean, he's got serious egotism issues, so it could go either way.
I'll do a better colored version of this later. I just finished the linework today, and blocked in the color nice and quick so I could post it here as WIP.
Done entirely in GIMP.

This is the most original take on Skeletor that I've ever come across. You've done a fantastic job rendering the brilliant idea that you've chosen. Artwork such as this makes me feel Odin smiling upon me. You know when you and a buddy go get McDonald's for the rest of the crew, and since you're riding shotgun you have to hold the warm bag full of hamburgers and fries? It feels a lot like that.

You must have a tablet for the crisp coloring with the illustration. Because using Gimp with solely a mouse is very very difficult. If you are using a mouse, please make a tutorial! Awesome work btw.

I remember reading He-Man books when I was little. I liked Skeletor the best because purple was my favorite color.

Very awesome, especially the way his body looks more realistic. The cartoon had him as all muscle-bound, this looks like something you'd see on a regular person who got some decent exercise but wasn't a complete body-builder. The expression and posture are also good, looking more casual and far less posed--and you've got a good bit of resigned emotion out of what's basically just a skull.
