Description I wanted to do something different tonight as a treat for finishing and launching the new website so...I drew some fanart. And had a cookie with my lunch. And some ice cream with my dinner. I think I was totally oblivious to the amount of stress I was under...but anyway! I've been wanting to do one of Amalthea for a while and this turned more into...her hair. XD Oh well. I had fun doing it...decided to add some color after I scanned my sketch. I've always loved the part in the movie when King Haggard rages that he can't see himself in her eyes. I guess I was trying to capture some of that here... >.<;;

inorite? When I used to play make-believe when I was little I was always the unicorn and rarely ever her human form. Oh memories. Thankfully though my sisters hated this movie much less than Sea Prince.

Sea Prince and the Firechild. Old school Sanrio anime...I think maybe 1983? It's a Romeo & Juliet story except with some mythology and fire and water. It was my absolute favorite thing to watch besides Last Unicorn... You can watch it on youtube here: [link]

It's in 20 parts...each about 5 minutes. XD It's worth it though. It's kinda sad no one's grabbed it up to re-release it on dvd...

Thank you! That was something new that I've not done really much at all in terms of raster CG versus my regular vectoring...I've HAD openCanvas forever but I never played in it much. XD I'm going to do that more I think.

That is so gorgeous. I love her hair of course, it does take up most of the focus. But the face is also very nice. The nose and cheeks are very precious.

Thank you so much! I haven't cg'd like this (I usually work in Illustrator) in a while so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
