Oh man oh man the colors. The pink organge you picked that flows into the violetish bouncelight off the snow is so good. Then the nifty colorplay of the presents against the color of the hat and background and fur, absolutely yummy. Bright colors always make me happy in pictures, and this one does the combining so well. The other thing I’m really liking is the way you did the mane and tail. So good!
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an expert on horse anatomy, and definitely not on my little ponies…but the waist and back legs totally look canine or feline. I can’t unsee it. The really dramatic thinness of the waits and then the broader width of the chest is totally something you’d see on a greyhound. (I draw dogs all the time.) I guess since this is a made up character and a different style, then it doesn’t really matter how “accurate” anatomy is but…ack! It just sticks out to me, lol.
All that aside, lovely work on this. IT’S SO PRETTY.
