Even the technical small things such as feathery delicate fur and gentle green wholesome glows reflected off her skin-tone is beautiful enough. But what really makes this piece felt is her expression, slightly melancholic yet still with a optimistic touch, she's in heartache with a strong sense of longing but also it seems that the aching would be mended soon through a encompassing warmth. This contains more soul and interesting interpretation creatively fresh rather than bland postcards of snowcapped cabins & Santa + his merry sleigh which make up the stock of Christmas pieces.
