Description The Greeks had heard of Taprobanee
that island, that place of ease and beauty
warless and aware of its great luck
I sought it far; I sought it deep
and when I found this place so fair
it was only the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
Fuck.
I was so very far too late.

I was told by some of earthly Paradise
of fountains safe from deserts dry
of pleasures of the flesh
They said go to great Chicago
There I found the Playboy Mansion
But as it happened, I wasn't heterosexual
Damn.
I was so very far from satisfied.

I began, just faintly, to sense a pattern here

Some people said there is a Heaven
far above corruption
a place where death is not
where suffering is never
I sought it far; I sought it deep
I found it was only desperate words
a failed escape from real.
Sigh.
I was so very far in fact.

That pattern is looking all too strong

I know!
I will search in other galaxies!
Other Universes!
I will find new worlds ideal!
But, alas, I am too early.
Please pardon me while I sleep.

This has splendid ideas. And I would suggest that one cannot look without far enough to find what is wanted. Inward going is the solution, not sleep.

Sleep is not inward in its dreams?

I have found sleep is the portal to inward going. Dreams bring messages from a place I want to visit, to call home.

Nailed it. Damn, you're sounding as cynical and hopeless as I do. But there's still a grain of hope in there, somewhere. If not, we'd be completely mad. We're not, are we?
It looks like we'd get used to being lied to, dunnit?

Used to, yes. Like, no.

But there is optimism and joy in the acceptance of reality, the observing without judging by saying this bad, this is good, this is not ideal and must be avoidedstoppedabandoneddestroyed whilst seeking nonexisting and probably horrid Paradise. Just live, just do, just play.
