Summer to me are seagulls. Infact I couldn't possibly live in a town without seagulls. This guy is Sebastian. He was supposed to be my crow, but he didn't come out as I had in mind, so he became my seagull. 1800 centry clothes ftw
Didn't make them all frilly Kamijo style... wanted them to be more natural.Right, gotto draw the Crow and Owl.
Theme of this pic would prolly be Theme of Wellber. Opening theme to Sisters of Wellber.

Great details in the wings and groovy hair! At first I wasn't too sure about the almost underworking of your colours, but it brings to mind the style of paintings from around early-mid 20th Century, where the tones were quite muted and the application very understated and I'm quite fond of it now. I also like your sky in the background, hinting at that 18-19th Century acrid sky from the growing industry.
A surprising find, this piece. Very unusual and unique. Great work.

Hey, no probs! ^_^ I'm not the type that, when posting about others work, say 'this is good' or 'this ain't so good'; I prefer to be a bit more articulate than that and say about what a piece of art evokes in me, or what particular aspect of it impressed me most, or what I feel needs work. Ironic really, as in person, I'm a man of few words, really.

No apologies for the lateness, there are some of us on the global interweb who have other things to do and aren't surgically attached to our computers, right? 
I know what you mean by that; it's always nice when somebody takes the time to leave a positive comment about your work, but there are times when it just seems like platitude. I'm also on ArtWanted and there's a guy there who used to use the same pre-prepared-looking message for every comment he left. . . very odd.
It's nice also, though, if someone says what it is they like about the work; be it a certain detail or style, or just the feelings they evoke in the viewer.
What I don't see much of on DA though is critique. I mainly show off my work in the hope someone will be impressed (enough to offer me a commission. . . I really need a new graphics tablet
