Description Mead, Cigars, women... the mighty viking warrior, Oglaf takes whatever he wants, through force preferably!

Ah man, its been forever since I dropped off anything for the challenges, but just couldn't resist the chance to play vikings for a bit. Also used it as a chance to try out a different paint style.

Hope you like it!

I love it. I'm impressed you know the word for it, but viking alchohol is 'meAd,' not meed.
Great design!

I'm always available to tell you what you're doing wrong! XD
I've got some character designs that don't fit any of the challenges on DAC, will you tell me what you think:[link] ?
Really let me have it! Otherwise, there's no improvement.

lol glad to hear it

After looking at some of your designs I can tell you that you definitely have some interesting ideas and color compositions going and you seem to really enjoy the characters your working with.

The main thing you'll need to work on is anatomy, the big one for any aspiring artist. There's a lot of great material out there on anatomy, and you really can't go wrong with any of it, but the best thing for you would be to find a style you can really enjoy and work from there. For me it was [link] ,but it's really all about what you have fun doing.

The only other small hint I can give you (other then just draw like a mother trucker) is when developing characters I find it helpful to work on a bunch of head shots/ portraits of a character you have in mind and work from there. I find them to be quick/easy ways to really work out an idea.

Hope that helps!

Heh, I think anatomy is certainly an interesting case with me, I make up most of my species, so anatomy isn't a problem as often, but that just makes it hardrer to get it right when drawing real animals or people.
I think the headshots/portaraits will be helpful for me, I have this bad habit of designing my characters on one piece of paper with nothing to work from in one sitting.
