This is a rather old drawing I did when I was on a ByakuyaHisana high, heheh. I didn't have either a scanner or a camera back then so it was put off, and then lost in the flow of time *dramatic* until today(!) when I was cleaning up my room and the pic turned up. ^^ If it hasn't been known already, I'll just say that I adore these two together. Talk about romance, whooh!I'm sorry for the big smudge in the corner; there is a dirty spot on my camera's lense, but I don't know how to clean it yet. *wrings hands*

Thankya! This was one of my earlier pieces so the style is a bit different. 
I wish I have the patience to draw all the cherry blossom petals since it's kind of Byakuya-sama's theme, but darn, too. many. petals! And I'm horrible with trees. lol

I definitely am! I'm also trying to write about them and I'm sure I don't need to tell you how bloody difficult it is to try to come up with a backstory. And there's so little fanwork about them out there, it really, really is a shame.
I see them the same way and I make myself melt imagining him very much in love and only ever showing her, of course.
Argh, if I didn't need to tweak some proportions once the lines are done, I would post the pencil sketch in my Scraps. But no, must be patient and do it properly.

Naw, I can absolutely utterly completely understand the trouble of making a backstory for these two. I mean, it's Byakuya here and a woman from the worst part of town; it's simply mystifying how they ever got together. Can you imagine Byakuya ever saying those three little words? To anyone? And how close they must have been if she was able to talk with him so frankly (in the last moments of her life, but still), and he was holding her hand! I never really thought of Byakuya as much of a physical kind of person at all, unless in intensely emotional moments. But that's why we love the couple so much. Like I said, pure, pure romance.
I'm feeling the love and I be wanting to draw more of them.

I don't have much hope about Kubo-sensei giving us their backstory, but how awesome would it be if he did, eh? I've sort of come up with something but it's just so difficult when you don't know *anything* and you're dealing with someone like Byakuya... Still, I want to believe he wasn't always like this. I mean yes, he was always a pompous prat, but he opened up to her during the time they had together and just completely closed up again, much worse than before, when she died.
Something like that.

*claps* That sounds guh-reat! True, I always thought that he must have grown up pressured on all sides to be the perfect son, perfect heir, perfect everything, until he met her. I wonder if she was his first love. Younger!Byakuya crushes, anyone? And I wonder what would happen if he had siblings. Darn, we know almost nothing about his history. *pouts* More room for you, friend, for inventiveness!

I guess that, in my mind at least, he's been pressured by the Clan and probably forced on way too many "dates" with potential brides, so she's a real breath of fresh air because she's miles away from all those noble girls he's always known. I'm quite sure some people will disagree with some decisions I took regarding their ranks at the time, and various other things, but I'm trying to piece this thing together slowly and it's so difficult...
But if I ever write what I want to write (in the form of small vignettes throughout the years), maybe I'll post it here. You don't happen to have an LJ account, do you?

It's the tragedy of my life that I'm too much of a computer illiterate to be able to handle an LJ account, nor do I have enough of an interesting life to spread it far and wide. Neither do I have a MySpace, Friendster, or whatever the heck else remotely resembling an online journal or whatever, except for the DA journal, which I don't use anyway. >.> Yes, my friends had often bemoaned my Internet reclusiveness, but, ah, how can they understand that it's a sign of eccentricity most often seen in geniuses. Not a lot of people write epic stories for fun, you know, and even then, half of those aren't finished, anyway, so what the heck. It's all good. I write for fun, too, mostly original stories, except for that one piece I sent ya, which, incidentally, is the only thing that is more or less completed. XD And yes, lots of people post their writings on their LJ, some even have a separate account for that purpose alone. More goodness for readers like us, hey.

X3 Awww... I always love these shots of Byakuya in the brief window of time where he was not incredibly depressed. The little smile he has is awesome, and Hisana looks gorgeous. ^^ For being old, it's still very nice.

Raven! What a pleasant surprise! I personally find Byakuya so much more lovable after knowing that he had loved and lost, painfully so. I like to believe that the time he and Hisana had together was simply blissful and "like a dream." There are different interpretations, but I also choose to believe that Hisana did love him. Their romance is one of the most beautiful things. Pure romance, my friend, pure romance. I have all these visions of their little moments together. ^^ I'll hopefully get a chance to actually draw 'em, soon.

P.S.: Hm, according to the manga version, I think Hisana is curvier than Rukia, shown in the panel where she was running away from baby Rukia and you can only see from her nose down. Her voice's completely different, too, in the anime version. You sure you can't find the manga chapter (179)? I would upload it for you, 'cept I have no clue whatsoever how to do so, but I can try to find links.

Don't feel tainted! They -were- married, and it's possible/probable she developed feelings for him, if she didn't feel them immediately. (After all, if -I- was living in Rukongai and Byakuya suddenly decided I was the girl for him, I think I would a) assume he was a nutcase and b) be insanely grateful. XD)

XD Well, he's a nutcase who is, to be sure, very attractive, from a staggeringly noble family, and who truly loves me. I can't say there's anything to complain about, really. *calculates* Y'know, let's see. Rukia's over 150 years old, right? Hisana died 50 years before that, and had been with Byakuya for 5 years before that, so she and Rukia had been separated for somewhere around 90-100 years, considering that Rukia was abandoned as a baby. I wonder what she was doing in that whole time. Food for thoughts, hm?
