You know, I seriously must ask, what kind of material did you use for Feferi's skirt and what kind of makeup do you use for when you cosplay as the trolls

The skirt is made of cotton (just normal, non-stretchy cotton) and I can't really help with the makeup thing since the brand I use isn't sold in the US (it's called Grimas, though). And I use both oil- and water based makeup depending on the situation (usually oil based on the face and water based everywhere else).

Have you ever had problems using water based makeup? The one time I tried using Snazaroo it just didn't seem to want to cooperate. I thought that it was because it was water based it just took a long time to apply and wouldn't go on evenly orz

I guess it depends on the quality of the fabric too... I mean, if you use broadcloth or something like that, it's most likely gonna look bad (just like every Feferi cosplayer who decides to use cheap satin on their skirt).
No, not really. Except like you already said, water based is harder to apply evenly (but easier to wash off). I've had so much practice with this that it's not really a problem for me anymore.

And if you really want to cosplay, go ahead! Though I'd think twice before starting for real... Cosplay ruins both your physical and mental health and also takes your money because that shit is expensive as hell... But on the other hand, it's a lot of fun and I've made 99% of my friends through cosplay :"D
