Description Ink drawing based on picture of Hoggle from the classic movie Labyrinth. I got way off track from the reference pic but I think you can tell who it is...

When I saw Labyrinth in the theatre when it first came out...yes, I am that old...I remember that it didn't seem to get much love. Didn't make much money...some folks questioned what Bowie was thinking etc. I thought it was a pretty cool story. And that Jennifer Connelly was going to be a star. Now it seems that Labyrinth has a place as a beloved movie and gets passed down from gen to gen. Does this seem right to you all? I have the impression that it has almost a cult following now...

Oh yes, Labyrinth has a cult following. There are thousands of fanfictions written for it, many message boards where people have come together to share their love for the film, and even a ball held every year, "the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade" in Hollywood, CA.

And the picture looks like Hoggle, don't worry.

man don't feel bad, i'm just as old because i was a young buck when it first hit the theaters. MAN i had the biggest crush on jennifer connelly when i first saw her in that movie. and you're right--it does have a cult following. when i was in hell.a. back in 2007 they had the 20th anniversary of the movie and you best believe when it was in selected theaters that people went in droves to see that shit! man you did a good job with this one. one of my favorite childhood flicks and hensonworks movies next to "the dark crystal", which got better reviews than
"labyrinth". thumbz up award flizzle (and this time keep the acceptance speech short, the academy hates long-winded self-indulgence.....)

The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth make an awesome double feature when slightly inebriated around New Years eve I have found out...I would love to see them in the theatre again. Its funny how my niece and nephew first discovered Bowie thru Labyrinth.

I have corrupted them. They are not kids anymore though. This was when they were little. Neither of them like much current music. They like the old school stuff. My nephew's two favorite artists are GnR and Bootsy Collins!

He asked me out .. and I said sure why not .. but then again we're both "two baggers" .. he's actually a good kisser .. lol

Alright .. now being serious (is that even possible?) anyways I think that you did a fine job on this, Luis .. you wandered and still came out on top in the end.

I also agree with you about how the movie seems to have attracted a "cult" following and is more appreciated now than when originally released .. WHOA, Bonnie is a movie critic, now? .. No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night .. heh
