"She was walking in the rain. Even though she held an umbrella above her head, she still felt coldness, as if water was covering her body. Although raindrops couldn't reach her, there was wetness on her cheeks. The storm was closing in but she couldn't hide, she couldn't escape it, for the storm was inside of her."Do you know this feeling when you want to escape harmful things, problems, sadness, but no matter what you do it seems impossible? Then you realize that as you are the source, you are your own biggest enemy.

and yea, I used the umbrella as the extension of the composition this time, I needed to include a small figure of the girl heheEDIT: I applied minor changes to stuff that bothered me

Beautiful piece. I know this feeling all too well. I struggle with Bipolar and a whole mess of other mental issues, and I constantly feel like this. This particular piece really hit home for me, and actually brought a tear to my eye not because the painting in my opinion is meant to portray sadness, but actually happiness because now I know I am not alone in feeling like this. Thank you for this piece. I have a question though about the piece though - is her chest wrapped for censorship or is it meant to mean something? Like the whole feeling trapped thing and those are her bindings?
