Description Was looking at some tutorial sites earlier, came across Frostbyes [link] page. Decided to try and come up with something like what he created.

The trees are from a brush set I created at [link] using photos of trees I've taken near where I live.

Completed in under 3 hours w/ Photoshop CS2

Such a peaceful scene. I agree, I like the reflection also. Nice work, larry.

HE LIVES! I've been wondering where you've been! Great colors here - I think I like the water the best - pretty nifty! When I've got more time I'll have to check out the tut you were following...

Looks fantastic.

I always love the water reflections of everything. It took me awhile to figure out how to do it cause I was using the flood filter from FlamingPear..

So I had to merge all the layers and add it at the bottom, then mask over it with a different layer.

Great pic, love the sky.

Thanks, ya I wanted to work the stars a bit more to achieve something closer to what you got. I used the noise filter some myself and just came up with what I have now, thought what the hey, I'll try it like this too. I'll probably go back in and redo it later, or just make another one.

I like those 2 you've done, what gave me the idea to try it out. I also used the Flamingpear flood filter, but went in and cleaned up a few rough edges where it makes very bright white and dark black pixels.

Thanks for the advice on the stars, I'll try that out though.

By the way, what I did with the stars...

I Opened up another image in photoshop and did a noise filter, adjusted the levels so there was alot of black instead of a 50-50 black/white mix (till it looked more like stars..), copy and pasted it into my deviation, put a layer mask on it and changed blending mode to screen.

Thought that might help you for future stars, helps me alot. Better than tapping the mouse alot w/ a 1px pencil brush. ^_^
