I inked this piece after meeting Philip Tan at the WWLA08. I saw his portfolio as I was walking around and I just knew I had to ink it...I hope he likes what I did.Related content

This piece really made me stop and look. Darkseid, as a character, hadn't been able to keep my attention past the old Super Powers/Legends run but if Darkseid being shown like this....wow...this one definitely puts him back up there. Simply a gorgeous, raw energy-crackling, and fear provoking image! May the quill be with you as it currently is!

Nope my friend...the whole piece was all quill...its funny that u say that...I just moved to phoenix and i attended the comic con here. Michael Golden was here and he and Kevin Knowlan is my absolute fave idols and i was shocked that there was not more people there asking for autographs and such. Well...i got him to review my inking and ink style...and he also thought i was using a brush and was shocked when i told him it was all quill...he did ask me if i used a brush at any time during my career as an inker and i told him thats how i got into the industry as an "ink artist", and i never picked up a quill until I went to work for Top Cow back in the day. He was impressed that i'm able to get brush like quality with a quill. so u thinking i used a brush on that piece wasanother compliment.
