I don't see what the big deal is, if people want to believe that is Octavia, where's the harm in that? It's entirely possible she was in a costume because, after all, it was Halloween (Nightmare Night. whatever)

Personally I'll believe that it was Octavia, because Octavia is best background pony and she didn't get enough love in season one

Okay, I was just on a forum talking about this, and I was just saying that people are freaking WEIRD if they SOMEHOW think that this one pony from Luna Eclipsed, how looks NOTHING like Ocatavia in any way, is somehow Octavia in a very elaborate costume.

I'm sorry, but that's just going too far. I think it's kind of neat (if not slightly annoying) that the fans can take the smallest of details and blow it up into big things, but it's something else entirely to come up with a random idea that comes right out of left field, and people somehow believe it for, like, no reason at all!

Okay, so she's in the middle of the stage, like Octavia, and she's playing a stringed insturment, like Octavia.

But THAT'S IT! There is literally NOTHING connecting the two together, so please, someone, nip this meme in the bud before it spreads!

I never paid atttention to that pony in the background until you tell about her.
according the MLP.Wikia, her name is Violna... could possibly be Octavia in her costume though.
