Description title is from the song by Barlow Girl - was listening to whilst painting this XD

i guess this is my first fan art ...me thinks...(that i'm posting anyway...)
this is a picture of Diva from the anime Blood+
i'm trying to get some more practice on painting people... so.difficult!
anyways...be nice, i know there are loads of mistakes.

time taken: 1 day
tools: photoshop cs2 and a wacom bamboo tablet.

references... 1 small reference to see how to shade the cheek...

i think its anamaing job. the onlt thing i wud say is make it a lil less smooth/perfect to make ti more realisticcos she very polished. but reli i c ant talk cos i could never produce something this good. well done - again.

nice job...
but try to use more natural tones when shading, the black toning never really works that well, instead try using green tones and brown tones t give a more realistic feel to the piece
the eye looks good, but also remember to include the shine on the eye, as this will make it look much better.
again, on the lips, try to use more natural tones.
but great job!
you will improve just keep at it!

yeah i know what you mean about the skin tones... i don't really like how it turned out... that something i've got to work on the reason why there isn't really much of a range in the skin tones is because i did the whole of her face in grey scale to start with because i'm so used to working in pencil that doing stuff in black, whites and greys i find just so much easier and after that i just used a multiply tool to change it to a skin colour... so it still looks very grey...

thanks very much yeah, i made it like that on purpose otherwise she doesn't really look right... so i put some sparks from the fire around her hair and added red highlights in her hair
