Last night I had a class for 6 1/2 hours!!! It was crazy. It was our last class, and my teacher wanted to make up for missing a class over Thanksgiving, so it was a super intense rigging class, man. Halfway through it, I began to get the itch to doodle. You know what I'm talkin' about. Problem was, I had no pen, no pencil, no paper, no tablet. It was just me and the computer, and the mouse.

The mouse and I have never been close friends. In fact, I think I went a good solid 5 years without ever seriously touching one. Sooo, yeah, I made super duper rough compositional glob lines in Photoshop, and from there, whipped out the faaaaaaaabulous straight edge lasso tool XD

I swear, that straight edge lasso is the greatest tool ever. I know how people swear by the pen tool, but the pen tool is a real drag if you're not actually tracing a cleaned-up sketch. And honestly, if people are going to use the pen tool to vectorize things, it's better to whip out Adobe Illustrator. There really isn't much better than that when it comes to vector artwork, and the ability to move vector objects backwards and forwards in the heirarchy is a truly a blessing to the program and user.

It just so happens that the original file for this was super duper small ( [link] ). So, I went back and I traced over the image with a higher resolution today. It looks exactly the same as the original, but higher resolution now.

I know the anatomy is certainly on the creative end, and being a mouse-drawing, I consider it worthy of dumping straight to scraps. But, the fact that I drew a NaruSasu saves it from the void : D It's been forever since I've actually drawn the couple, even though I partake in it almost every single day of my life <3 lol
