Description
An experiment in using photographic elements as textures for my drawing and digital painting. The title refers to a divination "experiment" in a 15th-century German ms. on necromancy. The figure is a digital painting, made and textured with a dozen or so references, but with Vallejo's oh-so-70's phantasy style lurking in my mind. The crystal ball is a maniped photo, courtesy of Grumbleduck-Stock's awesome gallery of cool, dark and ghouly things, here:[link]

A little amateurish in the technique (referring to the visible outline around the girl--she doesn't look like she fits with the rest of the scene), but I see you've improved a lot since this picture. THe rest is done rather well, particularly the glass globe around her. Very interesting concept, as well.
