I find it super fun exploring abstract backgrounds like this that set a particular vibe for a given piece. It's meditative finding shapes and colors that speak to me in that way. Sometimes a piece may call for an established setting, but other times I enjoy the discovery of the less literal, especially when my creative confidence is shot in any way. I feel like a child again in that sense, just going off my intuition without getting caught up in form or function.
