Vestrahorn in east Iceland. The clouds were beginning to pile in at this point. From my arrival it took about half an hour for them to completely hide the mountains. Although I only had a short time there where photography was an option it completely lived up to my expectations. I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time.Β ΒRelated content

The best light is only there for a short time. 30 minutes is crazy long! Amazing picture Lawrence. I really love how clean the dark tones are.

I feel I should be clear. This light here was only fleeting. What I mean is that I could only see the mountains for about half an hour.Β
That was in various quickly changing conditions until the point when I could not see them at all. It was very exciting. I'm so glad I
got there when I did. If I had been 30 minutes later I would have had no photographs of this place. And I went all that way mainly toΒ
be in this place.Β

Yeah I got that, I just thought you had great light during those 30 minutes as well. It's an amazing feel to arrive in a place and experience it in stunning conditions before the clouds hide everything. It's basically the opposite of seeing the clouds move in 2 minutes before you arrive.
