another headshot/closeup exercise. this one took so much time, maybe cos i dont use the pencil sketch at all, i changed his hairstyle and i made his eyes more small.

i liked how the hair turned out, but still i liked my black-hair pencilwork more..[link] see? the colored are less shiny.. seems i need to make it more fluid next time (*_*)9 .also i think the face's still looked not polished enough i think...hrmmm need more exercise on face anatomy, i was a bit lost shading the face.. the lighting seems wrong too.. however, i enjoyed this piece a lot heheh ^^

anyway this is main protagonist of my LiaL project. the name's Garvette, i often shorten his name to "Gar" and maybe that'll be his nickname too. he's a bit funky inside, the pink irises are natural. i wanted an unique/original hairstyle but not too weird. how is it? also, can u tell me how old he do look like? :/
