Okay, this one was a sketch that I inked during my Illustrator CS6 trial. I actually had a colored version already but decided to redo it since I learned a few more things in Corel Painter. I was whining about how it's a sucky version of Photoshop and one of my favorite deviants, Nebezial [link] put up one of his best journals about dealing with Photoshop but I took it as saying "Shut up, hit the button, see what it does and DEAL WIT' IT!!" So yeah, that's what I decided to do with Corel Painter....play around and learn. LOL, it was like being in kindergarten again. Anyways, that's how this came about, once I found out how to manipulate things so that it was SIMILAR to Photoshop in a way I could function, things clicked and I stopped my whining . I sorta used Evelyn as a means trying out certain features and techniques and kept all the ones that made her look good. It was going to be a simple flat color deviation, y'know just to tell myself I don't HAVE to "go Renaissance" on everything I do in order for it to be great. However, when I just played around with the shading, I found that I can't fight who I am. So I just went ahead shaded it to very best of my ability.(Note: "go Renaissance" is LC85 lingo for "fully rendered", "make a masterpiece" out of it", "give a hint to people you have some kind of obsessive complex that requires professional help" )

And here ya go!

This sketch of Evelyn was going to be part of a huge Sketchcollect of everything I had inked during my CS6 trial, but this one came out so well I thought I'd go and submit it as a separate piece. I also wanted to put a shadow under her so it wouldn't look like she was floating...but each time I tried it kept looking like her water broke . So, she's floatin'! HAHA.
