This is the lineart for my OC, Mai~Hah i admit i stole temari's fan idea with the 3 huge dots but i failed fan designing so psht XD.
Gah i did the line weight BEFORE copic-ing because I wanted to submit it to the 8D Ha i needed reference for the feet D:

Abilities: "Fan Dance" can slice people, creating wind, telekinesis.

EDIT: WOAH WOAH WOAH WHY DID THIS GET OVER 1000 VIEWS!??!?!!?!? SHIIIETx... this is my most viewed deviation now WTF....and its just a shitty lineart.

i used a new york state quarter to trace the circles on the fan : P

I don't think you traced, but I think your drawings are sometimes a bit too heavily influenced by =cartoongirl7 . I'm not saying its bad to use other artist's work for reference, but when you do that, those drawings shouldn't be posted on dA. I've noticed that a number of your works use parts of =cartoongirl7 's pieces >.<

thats because i used the reference for the pose. i assure you i did not copy or "eyeball" any of her drawings. im not low enough to become an art thief. i wouldnt be stupid enough to submit traced or "eyeballed" drawings in my gallery.

i didn't say you traced or "eyeballed" her works >.<" I noticed that you used her veil design before too and the robes on your character look very similar. If it were me, I would take it down once people are able to recognize the source. If you don't mine being suspected (because I see another user has accused you of tracing), then as long as the original artist doesn't mind, I see nothing wrong with you uploading the drawing.
I'm just saying, in general, many profound artists refrain from submitting works that bear strong likeness to other pieces ^^"

So you are saying I should take down pictures I just spent hours on just because they look like another? Who said similar designs were copyrighted? I'm not trying to be a jerk but its not very nice saying that an artist should take down a picture that they spent painfully long hours on and that their OC is copied.
I'm not pissed off at you but I just hate it when just because one artist used something, its like its FORBIDDEN for other people to use it too.
And because it "looks" similar, it definitely is, and the second artist has no creativity or skill whatsoever? I apologize for taking this out on you but I've seen many artists that also use ideas of others and were also attacked here on deviantart even though they are incredibly skilled and amazing at art, just because it "looks" like another, a whole bunch of people come and ridicule it.
Basically, its bullshit.

I suggested that if you were okay with it, you could take it down because it would prevent those people from bashing you when you really don't need it. Using references is really good practice, but a lot of people are against it when drawings that use references are submitted as original artwork. And it's because I think you have enough skill that you don't need to rely on what other artists use/draw for the drawings you polish up and submit online.
I'm against skilled artists being bashed for coincidently having similar poses or designs too, but the thing is they weren't aware of it. If you're aware of it, and you're okay with it, I think it's fine (It's what I said in my last message ^^" )
I just said that if it were me, I'd take it down because I feel uncomfortable knowing that the artwork I used for a reference is on the same site I'm uploading mine onto.
